Southland Saints Back the Blue
February 18, 2017
As part of spirit month, students and teachers at SCA showed their support and appreciation for law enforcement officers in our community at our "Back the Blue" spirit day. Beta Club members provided breakfast for the officers, and then the entire school enjoyed a special assembly to honor the them. Students were able to participate in a question and answer period with our guests. Following the assembly, classes took pictures with all the officers and spent a few moments making them feel like the heroes they are.
SCA is particularly grateful to the following officers who were able to attend: Lt. Jimmy Bartholomew, Plaquemines Parish; Sgt. Michael LaPlace, Livingston Sheriff, Corporal Donnie Hallmark, Baton Rouge Police; Trooper Michael Talley, Traffic Safety Educator for Troop A; Lt. Donnie Robinson, MPI Motor Division Livingston Parish; Deputy Bryan Parent, Motor Division Livingston Parish; Sgt. Daniel Austin, Livingston Sheriff; and Deputy Trey Roberts, Livingston Sheriff. Several are part of our very own SCA family.
We are so thankful for the men and women who put their lives on the line each day to keep us safe! If you are an officer or serve some way in law enforcement, we want you to know that Southland Christian Academy celebrates you! We pray for your protection, strength, and wisdom as you work to protect and serve our citizens and communities.
