The Chemistry department of SCA was excited to receive a grant of $700 from the Baton Rouge Chapter of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE). This year Ascension Catholic High School, Bethany Christian School, and Southland Christian Academy were awarded grants totaling $1425. A portion of the grants was funded by a grant from Exxon to the AIChE. To date, AIChE has awarded almost $47,000 to area high schools since inception.
